Welcome Back...Don't Go Far

After a short hiatus, the Tooth Fairy was back to visit us this week. Tuesday night Caitlyn asked dad to help her pull out a very loose tooth. Without much effort dad plucked the tooth from Caitlyn's mouth. We put the tooth in her special Tooth Fairy box and went off to bed. The next morning she woke up to this cute gift. It is a mini Barbie doll in a cute little box. The doll is holding a tiny Hello Kitty. Caitlyn loves it!

Fast forward to Friday night. Caitlyn decides she would like to eat an apple. OK...she takes the apple and heads off to play. Moments later I hear her howling and running toward me. "Mom, my tooth came out and it wasn't ready." I say to her..."Well it must have been ready because it came out so easy." Well, after a few minutes of going back and forth on the "Ready ~ Not Ready" discussion, I convince her to put the tooth in her Tooth Fairy box and leave it out for our good friend the Tooth Fairy. The next morning she woke up to a new Green Frog Webkin. Boy...it sure is a good thing that the Tooth Fairy keeps lots of extra goodies around her house!

Of course the story does not stop there. Caley has two loose teeth. The same two that Caitlyn just lost. It's a Twin thing. And, CJ has been wiggling a loose tooth for the last few days. I thought for sure that one was going to be out last night. So far...it is still in his mouth, but the day is still young.

We will be expecting several more visits from the Tooth Fairy in the coming weeks...I will keep you posted.

Look at all Those Missing Teeth!

Yesterday Caley came out of school with a perplexed look on her face.

"What's wrong," I asked?

"Caley has a loose tooth, and she is afraid to tell you," Caitlyn answered.

"Oh," I said, "do you want to show it to me?"

Caley did not answer, she just shook her head no. She doesn't like when her teeth are loose. So, we just went on with our day and didn't think about the tooth for awhile.

When dad came home, Caitlyn told him that Caley had a loose tooth.

"Can I see it," dad asked Caley?

This time she did let him see it. He came to the conclusion that the tooth was not ready to come out yet.

Fast forward to bedtime. I am picking up toys in bedrooms, dad and CJ are putting baseball clothes away in CJ's room and Caley is in the bathroom brushing her teeth.

"My tooth came out," Caley yelled from the bathroom.

What? I didn't think it was that loose, I didn't even know that she had a loose tooth until yesterday afternoon.

So, long story short, the Tooth Fairy visited us again last night. She brought Caley this cute Webkin frog (I think the Tooth Fairy shops at the Disney SALSA sale). It was her first visit to our house, this year.

She will be back. I checked Caitlyn's teeth this morning. She has one that is getting ready to come out.

That makes 6

Six, yes six, lost teeth since I started this blog at the beginning of September. You would think there would be some way that we could put all of these homeless teeth to good use???

This time it was Catilyn. Is it strange that the girls are in a perfect 'every other pattern' with the lost teeth? Yet another mysterious twin connection?

Saturday morning I was helping Caitlyn brush her teeth. I knew that she had a loose tooth and they never brush very good when one of their teeth is loose. So, as I was inspecting her work and brushing the neighboring bottom teeth, the loose one was just flopping back and forth. I am not sure what was holding it in place, it couldn't have been much. This tooth was so loose that I could bend it completely over with the tooth brush.

I told Caitlyn that it was time to pull the tooth out before it fell out by itself and she either swallowed it or washed it down the drain while brushing.

Well, dad overheard our conversation and ran in to save the day. I refuse to pull these teeth out, but he seems to be an expert in this area. So, after a few minutes of coaxing and lots of tears, Caitlyn finally let dad put his fingers in there and give the tooth a little yank. It popped out without any effort at all.

After a few more minutes of drama, we put the tooth in the Tooth Fairy box and placed it on Caitlyn's dresser to await our friend, the Tooth Fairy's, visit that night(we might as well just make up a little bed for her in the girl's room at this point).

As you can see, the Tooth Fairy found her way to the girl's bedroom. Caitlyn woke up to find a Webkin dog on her dresser. The dog has been adopted and named "Mickey."

Well, here we go again!

Tonight it is Caitlyn's turn.

That right front tooth had been hanging by a thread for days,

and tonight it finally meet it's demise.

We worked on it all night.

Finally, one good yank from dad, and it was out.

So, tonight we will be anxiously awaiting a return visit from the Tooth Fairy.

Oh, by the way, Caley's right front tooth is waving in the wind too.

Keepin' the Tooth Fairy Busy!!!

We seem to be keeping the Tooth Fairy in business these days! Monday night, just as I was getting everybody into bed, Caley came to me with one of her teeth in her hand. I can't believe another tooth came out! That makes 3 for Caley. Caitlyn has lost two, and knocked one out on her own, for a total of 3. CJ has lost 7 teeth ( I think, I am starting to loose count).

This morning I checked Caitlyn's teeth for her, I found 3 more loose teeth in her mouth. She was a little jealous that Caley got a gift from the Tooth Fairy, so she is wondering when she will be able to get one. Ahh twins, there is always a little bit of competition, and the need to keep things equal!!!

So, it looks like we can expect many more visits from the Tooth Fairy in the very near future. I guess she will get to know our house well. And, she is getting smart! She has started a stash of little trinkets for all of those late night, last minute tooth losses! :-)
